We both ended up getting the collectors edition. Why not spend an extra $10 and get a bunch of cool things?! Emilie was opening hers even before we got home and looking through all the extra goodies. The art book is absolutely amazing. It's very nice, hard cover and loaded with outstanding art.
We finally got enough cards to play the card game. I am going to have to read through the instruction booklet so we know how to play, but I am sure we could have some fun with that. Emilie's already started to use the mouse pad. I will eventually when my current one dies.
I also picked up the Burning Crusade Z-Board keyset last night. It's much more PvP and RAID oriented then the original keyset. It's still very cool though, I'll use it on my own server.
Emilie and I both started Blood Elves last night. I am on Thrall and she is on Turylon. Before we got that far through we were bothhaving some issues when we were trying to upgrade our accounts to "TBC accounts". The issue wasfixed quite shortly though. The starting area was completely mobbed with hundreds of other people. Today I had a real problem killing mobs for these quests cause 80 million other people were doing the same thing.
I just wish it was free or cheaper to play this game. I don't think getting the expansion will make me renew my account so come February 2nd or 3rd it's game over for me. At least for the time being. Emilie will continue to play, probably level up her new Blood Elf and get to level 70 with her main. It's a lot of fun, I just don't feel like dedicating so much time to it when I have so many other games to be playing.
So how's everyone else Burning Crusade experience coming along, roll any new characters or going to level your others to 70? Other thoughts?
I felt it was time that I branch out and play one of the hundreds of other games that couldn't be played because I was busy leveling up in Warcraft.
Emilie is still playing and well on her way to level 60. She's going to be a little WoW correspondent! Of course I still run my own server but there are so many bugs that I spend more time fixing it and patching it over playing on it. Good thing I got some new GMs!
Anyways, I absolutely love World of Warcraft so I am sure I'll come back and play again. I just have so many other things and games to work on. Most important is Gears of War night with Keith. We kind of started last night but it's scheduled for every Wednesday night. I just activated my xBox Live! Gold membership (3 month last night). Of course if you play GoW please do invite me, I'm up for it!!
So that's that, no more World of Warcraft (at least for now). I ended with a level 52 Orc Hunter on Thrall.

I've been shopping with NewEgg for many years now and I absolutely love their service. I've spent well over $3,000 with them and I do not regret spending one cent of it. They're know what they're doing and they do it very very well.
I remember an article about how their warehouses work and it impresses me very much. Just recently I purchased several parts from them to build a new gaming rig.
I bought a Shuttle barebones kit w/ e-VGA NVIDIA 7950, a Western Digital SATA drive and a NEC DL DVD burner. I ordered this all on Thursday and used 3-day shipping.
My product arrived the next day. NewEgg has always been good like that, some companies take 5 days or more to get product to their customers. Because of the way that NewEgg is set up they can ship items very quickly. They have multiple warehouses scattered throughout the country which means you're items will be shipped from the warehouse that's closest to you. The article I linked to above talks about how the product is picked and how it all gets handled.
All my parts worked perfectly fine and now I have a kick-butt little gaming rig. I will take some photos of it later on because it's very cool!
I would love to hear other NewEgg stories (good or bad) so if you're a customer, post some comments!

I was just skimming the forums to see if there was any post worth replying to. I don't think I found one but I found this funny post.
"It was a brutal fight folks, but in the end, BigMeanCow
triumphed over the roving menace that is the Fleeting Plainstrider. It
took a lot of work too, he almost had me, but I prevailed.
He dropped [Cracked Bill]. which is currently in Neutral AH for 2500g.
And I hope everyone in Ogr enjoyed the Server Reset Buff
For anyone else daring enough to attempt this feat, here was my strategy...
FreezeTrap, /moo, FD, run back, /silly, Flare, drank a pot, FD
(hella aggro by now), run back, went out for smoke break, got a drink,
talked to my gf on the phone a bit, by now it had crit hit me for 1 dmg
I thought that was gonna be it....but I FD again, drank another pot,
and finally hit him with a /slap for 4025 dmg. Breathless and sweating
now, I made the trip back to TB and logged out.
For my next feat, Im gonna attempt to kite a Roach to Stormwind and watch the chaos ensue =)"
A little bit silly! I do love a good laugh like this once in a while. Anyone else have something funny to share, please do!

If you look to the image on the left there you can see my new pet. It's King Bangalash found in Stranglethorn Vale (STV). I managed to capture him by myself. Somehow a Shadow Panther attacked me while I was taming the beast but I got the King tamed before I died and he helped me kill off the panther.
I only got him becuase I wanted a unique looking pet and he's one of them (IMHO) but also because cats and white tigers especially look cool. You don't see to many people with them either which is nice.
I love being a hunter and having a pet even though so many people dislike the hunter class and cll it the easiest class to play. I agree, it probably is the easiest class to play but it sure is fun. I just love having little pets even if they aren't combative. This brings me to my next accomplishment for the day.
I managed to snag a Jingling Bell which will summon the Winter Reindeer pet. It's non-combative but it's totally rad. You do need one snowball per summon so make sure you get some of those. I think I bought some 200 snowballs so I'll be good on those until next year.
I love this little guy like I love all my pets. So what kind of pets does everyone else have?? I almost got a Tranquil Mechanical Yeti but it wasn't there when I checked the auction house again...

Twas the night before BC, and in World of Warcraft
Not a creature would /stir, /sing, /dance, /silly, or /laugh
The servers were hung, all instancing ceased
In hopes the expansion would soon be released
The children were nustled all snug in their beds
(Only orcs; no young tauren, trolls, or undeads)
And I, in my warlord's gear, from PvP
Had just trekked to the inn for some rested XP
When out by the bank there arose such dissent
I wondered if Blizzard started a world event
I went into cat form, to ensure my good health
If demons were invading, I was gonna be stealthed
The moon didn't light up the boring old dirt
(C'mon, some Ogrimmar snow couldn't hurt!)
When what should I see, out there on the streets?
Twas a musclebound orc, and a mess of elites!
He was giving out buffs, which were awesome but brief
I knew in a moment it was the warchief
Was he giving a quest, or was this an illusion?
He started to /yell as we watched in confusion
"Come raiders, and twinkers, and casuals too!
Come on PvPers, get out of your queue!
To the top of the bank, to the top of the wall!
You can dash, you can mount, you can even slowfall!"
He jumped on the mailbox, to give rise to himself
I feared for a moment he'd become a night elf
But he did not /dance, or remove all his gear
So we all gathered round, and we lent him our ear
And then, on the bank, I heard from the roof
The prancing of two dozen large tauren hoofs
As I drew in my head, visions of taurens prancing
I was distracted by a female elf dancing
She was dressed in all epics, from her helm to her rings
They spat fire and did other impressive things
A bundle of loot she had flung on her back
And a two handed sword with a proc-cleave attack
Her eyes, how they twinkled! Her body, so thin!
She had golden hair, and odd, peach-colored skin!
Her droll little mouth was drawn up in a sneer,
As if immune to poly, stunlock, root, and fear
We all drew our weapons, and I readied my claws
I'd enjoy tasting elf blood dripping from my jaws
But Thrall raised his hammer, and let out a fierce growl
We all hesitated, hit by his piercing howl
"Her kind," he claimed, "are not our enemies!
They don't hide in shadows, they don't even hug trees!
They all hate alliance, and see them as noobs!
Even if, like alliance, kids will stare at her... monitor tubes." *ahem*
But from out in the crowd, came a shout, "She's no ally!
You can tell from her int-based plate she's a pally!
Her hotbar has bubbles and hearthstones adjacent!
You've brought us a target, we won't be complacent!"
"But you see," the elf said, her voice calm and malicious,
"I may have found the light, but I find it delicious.
We stole from their gods!" She screamed while she glowered.
"To mock claims that shamans are so overpowered!"
"But where," I responded, "Did you get all your loot?"
"My chestpiece has less stats than one of your boots!"
She took out her hearthstone, and started to laugh,
As she showed me that it was now set to Shattrath
"I got them in Outland, just as you will.
In a month your new set is as useless as twill.
The Blasted Lands is where to bring this Horde
You know, when you levelled, that zone you ignored?"
"It's a land of new quests, and wonderous gifts,
Of casual conent, and paradigm shifts.
So come to the portal, if you'll continue playing,
And take on 'You are not prepared!' as your saying!"
She bubbled and hearthed, in true pally fashion,
But in her wake I had found a new passion
In this new land I'd find epic apparel
Perhaps I would even find something for feral!
Thrall raised his hammer, and looked nearly immortal
Then he jumped on his mount and rode for the Dark Portal
But I heard him exclaim, as we rode to our fate
"I hope when we get there, it will be release date!"

I didn't. I did get to play with the new LFG tool though. It's pretty easy to use and I think I like it. I've noticed there is 99% less spam in the chat channels which is really nice. No more Steve Irwin or Chuck Norris every 2 seconds. The matchmaking works pretty well, although I found people to be queuing for 5-6 things and blowing off the party I had joined.
I myself queued up for Uldaman since I had 1 quest there ([41d] Necklace Recovery). I ended up getting the necklace about 2 minutes into the thing but we went all the way to the room with the 4 stone bosses. It sure was a lot of fun, and I am glad I will have some more time for questing since school is out for winter break. I do miss being an Orc!
Something I noticed was there seems to be more audible effects in-game. Characters make different sounds and say different things when casting, or calling up minions. I think that's really cool, one sound clip sounded like the death-knights from Warcraft II.
I just finished getting most of my mods last night, the only one left is Auctioneer and they said it would be about 2 weeks until they were ready. Blizzard seems to have done some stupid (yet justifiable) modifications to how mods can work. I use a mod called All In One Inventory so all my bags (and quiver if I want) appear as one giant bag. I can no longer use potions (by right clicking on them), food, drink, hearthstone from the bag which really sucks. I dragged my hearthstone onto a hot bar, but that still leaves the things that give me life. I hope something gets done about that because that's ridiculous.
So how is everyone else "WoW: Life After 2.0" going?!

I've been keeping up with the news and patching going on and it really sounds like they're doing a lot of cool things. I did log in for literally 2 minutes the other night. I helped a night elf kill a digger near the entrance to Uldaman and then logged out.
So tonight I finally logged in...and met with me usual 350-400 queue. I should have known that would happen. I logged into my own server and played until I got fully logged into the Blizzard servers. Took about 30 minutes or so, pretty ridiculous. I actually read something about free character transfers on Thrall to a select server because of the over population.
I managed to log in tonight and find a group going to Uldaman ( I have one quest or so I think to finish there) and within 10 minutes of that the server crashed. One of the guys in my group was telling it had been happening since last Tuesday. It's so nice to come back to the game and have it be worse then when you left.
World of Warcraft has a lot of issues, it's great when it works so it sucks when it doesn't. I'll probably try to log on tomorrow night in hopes of this not happening again. If not then I'll be logging in when Burning Crusade comes out.
I have an open question though although I doubt I'll get any responses. If anyone is a Mac user and a World of Warcraft user AND uses the World of Warcraft Z-Board, does it work.
I looked on Google but couldn't seem to find a definite answer. I really hope it works on OS X because my parents are thinking about (or did get me one) for Christmas. Anyways if anyone knows, let me know, or point me in the right direction.
Oh, I'm Nippet on Thrall (HORDE).

I like to put images and have complete control over my blog and entries as you might have noticed. You'd wonder why I'd have choosen Vox as the medium for this adventure. I just thought it looked cool and it made things really easy to do. It does...and it doesn't. I was trying to insert multiple images into a few entries last night and I finally just gave up.
I just inserted some HTML and Vox asked me if it was okay to translate the code and I said yes...and it actually works...so that's a good thing to know...now how about getting rid of these ads and the Vox crap on the top and bottom...eh it's okay!
Well it's maintenance Tuesdays!
