Well I just completed Gears of War for the second time now. Both on Casual mode. I am thinking that I will need to have a real person with me when I run through it on hardcore and insane difficulty mode. I wanted to play with someone today, but no one was around. Can’t blame them, why sit inside infront of a screen on the weekend! Oh well, I managed. I did at one point break out my players guide from BradyGames. I knew I needed some advice on killing Raam. I think I played through that scenario 10 times and I finally killed him. At first I saw an exploding body, and though it was me, *grumble, grumble, I get to play through that again…* I was wrong though! Raam fell to the ground and I won! The ending movie is absolutely excellent, especially when the Locust goes off on his Brumak.
The reason I purchased an xBox360 was because of this game. I am glad I did because this is probably one of my all time favorite games, maybe it’s the amount of detail, maybe it’s the badass weapons in they game or how you can play co-op mode over xBox Live! I’ve completed the game once with a friend over live and once by myself. I must say, doing it by yourself isn’t nearly as fun as doing it with someone. Dom acts like an idiot half the time and is completely useless. He tends to get in the way more often then not.
Multi-player deathmatch is another reason why this game kicks ass. That and Epics already released a new map pack, both new maps are excellent. Something that I thought would be really would be to have even more people (4) in co-op mode. The more the merrier.
Well if anyone wants to play Gears online let me know! It’s a wonderful game and I can’t wait for Gears of War II!

We both ended up getting the collectors edition. Why not spend an extra $10 and get a bunch of cool things?! Emilie was opening hers even before we got home and looking through all the extra goodies. The art book is absolutely amazing. It's very nice, hard cover and loaded with outstanding art.
We finally got enough cards to play the card game. I am going to have to read through the instruction booklet so we know how to play, but I am sure we could have some fun with that. Emilie's already started to use the mouse pad. I will eventually when my current one dies.
I also picked up the Burning Crusade Z-Board keyset last night. It's much more PvP and RAID oriented then the original keyset. It's still very cool though, I'll use it on my own server.
Emilie and I both started Blood Elves last night. I am on Thrall and she is on Turylon. Before we got that far through we were bothhaving some issues when we were trying to upgrade our accounts to "TBC accounts". The issue wasfixed quite shortly though. The starting area was completely mobbed with hundreds of other people. Today I had a real problem killing mobs for these quests cause 80 million other people were doing the same thing.
I just wish it was free or cheaper to play this game. I don't think getting the expansion will make me renew my account so come February 2nd or 3rd it's game over for me. At least for the time being. Emilie will continue to play, probably level up her new Blood Elf and get to level 70 with her main. It's a lot of fun, I just don't feel like dedicating so much time to it when I have so many other games to be playing.
So how's everyone else Burning Crusade experience coming along, roll any new characters or going to level your others to 70? Other thoughts?
I've downloaded about 7-8 demos so far but one demo was so good that I went out and purchased the game the following day! Burnout Revenge looked so graphically amazing and was so much fun to play that I bought the game. It hasn't come yet (I just barely ordered it) but I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Not only did I enjoy the demo but my girlfriend had some fun smashing through the streets.
I think the ability to play and easily download these demos is a smart move for Microsoft and any contributing developers. I am sure there's other people besides myself who have tried out a demo and liked it so much they went out and got the full game.
There's actually another couple games I am thinking about getting because they have awesome demos!
Look for an initial impressions entry about Burnout Revenge soon!

The second time around I think I really had an idea of how it all worked. I managed to hold onto first place through the first lap, lost it most of the 2nd and 3rd but managed to come back and just barely win the race!
Something that kind of annoys me about this game is that you cannot go off the track for more then 3 seconds. I did find an advantage to this because at one point if you go off you can get placed back on the track ahead of everyone else. Other then that, I find it pretty annoying. The shortcuts are seemingly a pain in the butt to use. They're hidden but also semi-difficult to get too, especially when you're going 140 MPH.
Now that I've accomplished that I can move onto the second mission of the demo. I won't go into much since my last post covered it. I think I just need to go a couple more rounds to get the hang of it.

I felt it was time that I branch out and play one of the hundreds of other games that couldn't be played because I was busy leveling up in Warcraft.
Emilie is still playing and well on her way to level 60. She's going to be a little WoW correspondent! Of course I still run my own server but there are so many bugs that I spend more time fixing it and patching it over playing on it. Good thing I got some new GMs!
Anyways, I absolutely love World of Warcraft so I am sure I'll come back and play again. I just have so many other things and games to work on. Most important is Gears of War night with Keith. We kind of started last night but it's scheduled for every Wednesday night. I just activated my xBox Live! Gold membership (3 month last night). Of course if you play GoW please do invite me, I'm up for it!!
So that's that, no more World of Warcraft (at least for now). I ended with a level 52 Orc Hunter on Thrall.

I was just skimming the forums to see if there was any post worth replying to. I don't think I found one but I found this funny post.
"It was a brutal fight folks, but in the end, BigMeanCow
triumphed over the roving menace that is the Fleeting Plainstrider. It
took a lot of work too, he almost had me, but I prevailed.
He dropped [Cracked Bill]. which is currently in Neutral AH for 2500g.
And I hope everyone in Ogr enjoyed the Server Reset Buff
For anyone else daring enough to attempt this feat, here was my strategy...
FreezeTrap, /moo, FD, run back, /silly, Flare, drank a pot, FD
(hella aggro by now), run back, went out for smoke break, got a drink,
talked to my gf on the phone a bit, by now it had crit hit me for 1 dmg
I thought that was gonna be it....but I FD again, drank another pot,
and finally hit him with a /slap for 4025 dmg. Breathless and sweating
now, I made the trip back to TB and logged out.
For my next feat, Im gonna attempt to kite a Roach to Stormwind and watch the chaos ensue =)"
A little bit silly! I do love a good laugh like this once in a while. Anyone else have something funny to share, please do!

I've already beaten the game once with someone on xBox Live! but I could play through game tons of times. How does chainsawing zombies into pieces and watching the blood spray everywhere get old?! It's so stress relieving!
I read on several places that there will be 2 more games to make a trilogy. Without giving too much of the game away, there's definitely a place for another game after this one. They ended the game that makes you WANT more!
Both Keith and I are highly impressed with Gears of War, and we're not the only ones, Gears of War is the most popular game on the 360 right now and it's getting very good reviews. Some thing that makes Gears of War and amazing game is the fact that you can play co-op mode over Live!
If anyone else has a 360 and plays Gears of War, I'd love to get some co-op going! My gamer tag is 'vtequine'. Even if you don't have Gears of War feel free to add me to your friends list!

After finishing up my 10 page or so paper last night I had a quick round of WiiSports Fitness. Unfortunately since I was so tired my Wii age went up to 40. I guess aging 3 years isn't to bad. I do hope to get it back down 3 years, hopefully more. I felt like I did better in tennis then I normally do, but I had some trouble with bowling.
I think I read somewhere, maybe off Digg.com that they're coming up with another game to add to WiiSports. If I remember I'll post a little bit about that.
So what kind of games is everyone else playing, Zelda, Redsteel? Hopefully I get a smidgen of time to play that this weekend. It sure is a lot of fun! I just need those darn component cables! It looks terrible on my TV!
One game that I thought looked semi-interesting was Elebits, and hopefully they put out Final Furlong for Nintendo Wii, but I guess I have to wait and see.

This morning I started my new fitness program, WiiSports Fitness. Alright, so it's really a video game with sports in it, but it runs you through 3-4 tests to see your "WiiSports age". You get to bowl, play base, tennis and I think one other to see what your physical fitness age it in Wii terms. Unfortunately for me...it's 41. Ouch...I've got some getting in shape to do I guess!
Of course there were times when I swung the racket once and my little on-screen Mii was swinging it multiple times. It's still is a lot of fun, I just can't wait to see what Emilie gets!
