Well I just completed Gears of War for the second time now. Both on Casual mode. I am thinking that I will need to have a real person with me when I run through it on hardcore and insane difficulty mode. I wanted to play with someone today, but no one was around. Can’t blame them, why sit inside infront of a screen on the weekend! Oh well, I managed. I did at one point break out my players guide from BradyGames. I knew I needed some advice on killing Raam. I think I played through that scenario 10 times and I finally killed him. At first I saw an exploding body, and though it was me, *grumble, grumble, I get to play through that again…* I was wrong though! Raam fell to the ground and I won! The ending movie is absolutely excellent, especially when the Locust goes off on his Brumak.
The reason I purchased an xBox360 was because of this game. I am glad I did because this is probably one of my all time favorite games, maybe it’s the amount of detail, maybe it’s the badass weapons in they game or how you can play co-op mode over xBox Live! I’ve completed the game once with a friend over live and once by myself. I must say, doing it by yourself isn’t nearly as fun as doing it with someone. Dom acts like an idiot half the time and is completely useless. He tends to get in the way more often then not.
Multi-player deathmatch is another reason why this game kicks ass. That and Epics already released a new map pack, both new maps are excellent. Something that I thought would be really would be to have even more people (4) in co-op mode. The more the merrier.
Well if anyone wants to play Gears online let me know! It’s a wonderful game and I can’t wait for Gears of War II!

Well, I've been playing a lot of decent video games lately; Burnout Revenge, Mario Hoops 3-on-3, Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Cooking Mama, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade! It's been great, I don't think I've had any poor games! My friend Keith was telling me the demo of Farcry for xBox 360 was no good, so I think I'll be staying clear of that one! I did get the demo for the Sonic the Hedgehog game, I'll have to give that a go sometime this week.
The new game I got was Wario Ware. A co-worker was telling me how amazing it was and that I needed to get it. So I did, and I think it's a 8/10. I am not really sure why but it feels like it was made cheaply. The mini-games are really fun, but I am not sure the game has a point. There doesn't really seem to be a strong story, and you just go from building to building doing these mini-games. I thought it was going to be a multi-player game but it's not yet, apparently you have to unlock that. I can't wait to try that part out though! I've unlocked 7-8 buildings so far, not sure how much is accomplished but it's definitely a fun game! I really wish it was multi-player from the start though!
The next game I picked up this weekend is one that I've had my eye on for a while! Mario Hoops 3-on-3 is so much fun! I just wish I had gotten it sooner! The controls a little odd at first. I felt a little overwhelmed with learning them all but I think I have them down now. I've been running through the tournaments and they get progressively harder. I've mashed my way through the Flower Cup and now I am on the last cup. It seems they only have 3 cups, but maybe more are unlockable. They also have challenges, exhibition modes and a multi-player mode. Emilie and I will have to try that out sometime this week. The courts are fun and original, my favorite one is the one where piranha plants are the hoops! There are unlockable characters, so far I've only unlocked a couple, but I am sure there's lots. I heard that there are characters from Final Fantasy in there too! I seem to have made up a good team too. Yoshi, Baby Bowser and Mario seem to be doing the trick for me. I have yet to loose a match!
Well I'm off to go work on some Burnout Revenge, I can't let Kat beat me!

I think I also put the TV show on the Netflix queue so that will be interesting to see.
I also dug up my anime drive and it's got FLCL, Gunslinger Girls, Colorful, Princess Mononokee, and a couple other animes on there. I can't wait to see them again. Maybe I can finally watch all of GG since I've only made it to like episode 5 before!!
We're going out to see the horses today, hopefully I will get a bunch of photos to share. We also joined a equestrian group on Vox. Doesn't seem to lively but hopefully it will be eventually.

We both ended up getting the collectors edition. Why not spend an extra $10 and get a bunch of cool things?! Emilie was opening hers even before we got home and looking through all the extra goodies. The art book is absolutely amazing. It's very nice, hard cover and loaded with outstanding art.
We finally got enough cards to play the card game. I am going to have to read through the instruction booklet so we know how to play, but I am sure we could have some fun with that. Emilie's already started to use the mouse pad. I will eventually when my current one dies.
I also picked up the Burning Crusade Z-Board keyset last night. It's much more PvP and RAID oriented then the original keyset. It's still very cool though, I'll use it on my own server.
Emilie and I both started Blood Elves last night. I am on Thrall and she is on Turylon. Before we got that far through we were bothhaving some issues when we were trying to upgrade our accounts to "TBC accounts". The issue wasfixed quite shortly though. The starting area was completely mobbed with hundreds of other people. Today I had a real problem killing mobs for these quests cause 80 million other people were doing the same thing.
I just wish it was free or cheaper to play this game. I don't think getting the expansion will make me renew my account so come February 2nd or 3rd it's game over for me. At least for the time being. Emilie will continue to play, probably level up her new Blood Elf and get to level 70 with her main. It's a lot of fun, I just don't feel like dedicating so much time to it when I have so many other games to be playing.
So how's everyone else Burning Crusade experience coming along, roll any new characters or going to level your others to 70? Other thoughts?

I've downloaded about 7-8 demos so far but one demo was so good that I went out and purchased the game the following day! Burnout Revenge looked so graphically amazing and was so much fun to play that I bought the game. It hasn't come yet (I just barely ordered it) but I cannot wait to get my hands on it. Not only did I enjoy the demo but my girlfriend had some fun smashing through the streets.
I think the ability to play and easily download these demos is a smart move for Microsoft and any contributing developers. I am sure there's other people besides myself who have tried out a demo and liked it so much they went out and got the full game.
There's actually another couple games I am thinking about getting because they have awesome demos!
Look for an initial impressions entry about Burnout Revenge soon!
